Snapchat Tiffany SnapValentine ScamThe Snapchat si sent from a random username and tells the user that they have been selected to win a special Valentine’s Day gift from Tiffany & Co.  All they need to do is go to snapvalentine.com and enter their information to see what they have won.

Interestingly enough, click on the link to the site on your computer.  It will redirect you to Twitter.  Now try on your smartphone.  It works!

I decided to enter the Snapchat username that actually sent me the Snapchat.  It told me that I was a winner, even though the Snap was sent to my own personal username.

First of all, if I really won, why would I also need to take an offer from a sponsor?  Also, notice the awful grammar.  Tiffany & Co. is a very prestigious company.  I highly doubt they would have a giveaway, let alone one where they required you to work with sponsors and they had clearly not spell checked.

It seems that this scam has reached many, as the Tiffany & Co. Facebook page is full of questions and the response from the actual page was “Dear Molly, Thank you for your contacting us regarding this matter. Tiffany & Co. is not sponsoring any promotions through Snapchat and is not affiliated with http://www.snapvalentine.com in any way.”

If you receive this Snapchat through your Snapchat account, do not enter your information!  It is unsure what the spammers are doing with it.  If free Tiffany’s jewelry is too good to be true- it probably is!
